The new free childcare entitlement for working families is now open to children from the age of 9 months upwards. In addition, some 2 year olds may be eligible for 15 hours free government funding per week under the supported families scheme and ALL 3 & 4 year olds are currently entitled to a maximum of 15 hours per week.
From September the working families entitlement raises to 30 hours per week for a maximum of 38 weeks per year.

Exciting news- Send your child to Little Lions from ONE year old from April 2025!
Little Lions Pre-School and Nursery opened its doors in March 2015, welcoming children aged 2 to 5.
Now, we are excited to announce that, starting April 22nd 2025, we will be expanding our age range to welcome children as young as 1 year old. This change allows us to build those crucial early connections with younger children, setting a strong foundation for their development and ensuring a seamless transition into our 2–4-year-old room.
We have a dedicated room within our nursery building that is currently being renovated, featuring new windows, an additional radiator, fresh carpet and lino, as well as a completely new, separate garden area. Along with these improvements, we’re also adding a variety of new, engaging toys and resources to enhance the learning environment.
