Hi, my name is Linda, I have 10 years’ experience of delivering a high-quality learning experience to children aged 2-14 years, in addition to raising my own three children. My career as a nursery practitioner kicked off when I relocated to France and couldn’t practice as a dental nurser due to the language barrier. As a result, I took up a job in Paris, as an English-speaking nanny to a French family. My role was to take the children home from school and organise various activities for them in English, until their parents returned from work. It was from there that I realised my passion for working with children. I decided to pursue a course in childcare to enable me to acquire the professional qualifications required for the job. On relocating to the UK, I decided to study my master’s degree in education. Working as an early year’s educator has equipped me with ample experience and skills required to create a good relationship with children and adapt to their individual needs. I look after the Frogs key group

Hi, I'm Sarah. I have over 15 years of experience in early years education, along with the joy of raising my own two children. My journey began when I volunteered at my son’s pre-school just one day a week. Within a month, they offered me a position, which inspired me to pursue formal childcare training. After completing my training, I was promoted to deputy manager at the pre-school after just two years. Jo and I then decided to open Little Lions together, and we’ve cherished every moment since. I hold a Level 3 qualification and serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting families who are working with children’s services or in need of early intervention. I’m also the deputy manager at Little Lions.

Hi, my name is Jo, I co-own Little Lions pre-school & Nursery with Sarah. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and have a passion for ensuring each child has a unique experience in their early years based on their interests and individual needs. I have been the SENCo at Little Lions for over 10 years and have my own personal experience navigating through SEND with a neurodiverse child of my own. Recently, I completed my SENCo Level 3 award, further enhancing my expertise in supporting children with special educational needs. My journey into childcare began as I was a childminder, progressing onto working within a pre-school and then opening Little Lions.

Hi, my name is Beccy, I am level 3 qualified in Early Years Childcare. I have been working in nursery settings since 2003, so I now have 22 years’ experience of working with children aged 3 months to 5 years. I have also worked at breakfast and after school clubs. I joined Little Lions in May 2021 and am enjoying my role within the nursery. I stepped into the Deputy manager role whilst Sarah was on maternity leave and have since remained as room leader, stepping back into the Deputy manager role as and when needed. I am also Jo's SENCo support, and I love my role supporting children with additional needs. I have a key group of children, called the Newts.

Hi, I'm Tina. I’ve been working in childcare for nearly 19 years. My journey began at an after-school club, and after having my two children, I transitioned to working at a pre-school/nursery. Over the years, I’ve gained a wealth of experience and continue to develop new skills along the way. I truly enjoy working with children and watching them grow and thrive in their learning journey. Currently, I lead the nursery class at Little Lions, working with children from 3 years and 6 months. I plan engaging, educational activities to help prepare them for the transition to primary school. I also assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead with safeguarding duties. My key group is known as The Butterflies

Hi, my name is Sanjika, and I am 30 years old. I have always loved working with children, as I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel special and confident. I gained 9 months of volunteering experience at a Pre-school and Nursery whilst studying for my master’s degree in childhood and education at the University of Hertfordshire, which is very nearly complete. I feel privileged to be part of children’s early learning journeys and I love helping them to grow and shine in their own ways. My key group are the Caterpillars

Hi, my name is Kay, I’m level 2 qualified in early years childcare. I’m working towards completing my level 3 qualification through an apprenticeship at Little Lions. I have experience firstly, with supporting my sisters with my niece and nephews and by helping them with babysitting. I also completed 280 hours experience at a nursery setting during my level 2 training.
I haven’t been at Little Lions for very long, but I am enjoying working here. I have been supporting Fleur in the under 2’s room and the older children in the blue room. This is enabling me to build upon my skills and knowledge. I have loved building positive relationships with the older children and the under 2’s. I am enthusiastic and excited to continue my learning journey with the staff and children at Little Lions! I have a small key group called Little Cubs

Hi, my name is Dianne. I have over four years of international experience working as a teaching assistant, where I have developed a strong foundation in supporting children’s learning and development. I hold a diploma in Association Montessori Internationale. I began my journey with Little Lions as bank staff, gradually building my skills and experience in early years education. I am now working towards my level 3 childcare qualification through an apprenticeship course, to further strengthen my professional qualifications and skillset. I am passionate about nurturing children’s growth, and it brings me great joy to see our Little Lions thrive and develop. I have a key group called the Bumblebees.

Hi, my name is Lili and I am 26 years old. I always knew I wanted to work with children, so I went to college straight from school to gain my level 3 qualification in childcare. I joined the Little Lions team at the beginning of November 2020 and have loved every moment. I've enjoyed building bonds with the team and of course my lovely key group; the Ladybirds!

Hi, my name is Fleur. I have nearly five years childcare experience. I joined Little Lions in April 2022. Very quickly, I learned so much from the team and the children, and I have loved every moment! I completed my Level 3 childcare apprenticeship with Little Lions and have since been given the opportunity to run our brand new Under 2’s room. I am thrilled to be given this responsibility and am enjoying working with the younger age group of children. I have found it so rewarding watching the little ones settle into their new nursery environment and to become comfortable, happy and to feel safe and secure in my care. We are called the Little Cubs Key group
